Preliminary Round
To prepare for the Preliminary Round, focus on reinforcing your fundamental coding skills. Review programming basics, practice solving diverse coding problems, and familiarize yourself with common algorithms and data structures. Prioritize time management by practicing under time constraints and stay informed about industry trends. This well-rounded approach will enhance your problem-solving abilities and boost your performance in the evaluation.
Questions in the Preliminary Round may cover a broad range of coding concepts beyond those explicitly mentioned in practice problems. Participants should be prepared for problems across various programming topics and not limit their preparation solely to the specific examples provided in practice materials.
Semi-Final Round
Participants should deepen their understanding of the subject matter and improve their ability to think quickly, manage their time, and solve problems quickly in order to prepare for the Semifinal Round. Succeeding in the Semifinal Round depends on your capacity to strike a balance between speed and in-depth knowledge of the subject. Make use of below simulated scenario to improve decision-making under time restrictions.

- PEC Code Quest is open to all II & III Year Students of Panimalar Engineering College irrespective of their Departments.
- Participants must complete the online registration form accurately. Each Team is allowed one registration only.
- Team participation is allowed, with a maximum of two members per team. Team Lead must register their team members.
- Participants are expected to maintain a high standard of integrity and sportsmanship.
- Plagiarism or the use of external assistance during the contest is strictly prohibited.
- All code submissions must be the original work of the participant or team. Submission deadlines will be strictly enforced.
- Challenges will be presented with varying levels of difficulty. Scoring is based on correctness, efficiency, and adherence to guidelines.
- Winners will be determined based on their cumulative scores. Prizes are non-transferable, and decisions by the judging panel are final.
- Participants are responsible for ensuring compatibility with the specified coding platform. Technical support will be available during the contest period.
- Submitted code may undergo review for adherence to guidelines and plagiarism detection. Participants must be open to sharing their code for verification.
- Participants may be disqualified for violating the rules, engaging in unethical behavior, or attempting to compromise the integrity of the competition.
- PEC Code Quest organizers are not liable for any technical issues, data loss, or other unforeseen circumstances.
